Councilman Glen Kocsis for Neptune City Council
Elected in November 2017, incumbent Councilman Glen Kocsis has been proud to call Neptune City his home for over 12 years now and is an active member in local volunteer services, including being a long-standing member of the Neptune City Volunteer Fire Police and CERT, where he personally checked on residents door-to-door and assisted EMTs during Superstorm Sandy.
A 3rd-generation Sheet Metal Local 27 Union Member, he knows the value of hard work and has applied it to his time on Council, having served as the Chair of Special Services Committee, DPW (Dep’t. of Public Works) and Human Services Committee; he has also served as Co-Chair of Special Services, Human Services and Administration of Justice Committee. Currently, Glen is Chair of Human Services and Co-Chair of DPW.
Glen is proud to have been an integral part in bringing several successful programs to Neptune City, having initiated the MCSPCA “T & R” (Trap, Neuter Release) Program, spearheading the popular Trex Recycled Plastic Bags Program, getting Neptune City appointed to Sustainable Jersey and working on the First Responder’s Park renewal.
Glen earned his A.S., in Criminal Justice – Political Science at Middlesex County College in 1994.
“I stand for common-sense government and do it for the people, not for the politics. I thank you for electing me and ask for your vote again in November so that I can continue being an advocate for all residents and for our community.”
